Is there a point in making a complaint - or is it just worth walking away?
In the last year I have had a puppy die because a vet who used a drug against every contraindication, against my wishes and against even the vet saying they were going to use that drug- the professional body could find no wrong despite obvious discrepancies in the vets' statements,
In 2005 after making a complaint to one of the top UK universities about lack of facilities and supervision, I was forced to carry on my research on my own because the department concerned not only disowned me but made sure I could not go else where, - it was futile as it was against the interests of those concerned that I would suceed- so that effectively wiped out 10 years of my life, self-esteem- and research - which is raw but unique as no- one has yet carried out such an investigation of a form of bone cancer in both people and dogs- the latter has a much higher incidence, during this research I had to watch 4 of my own dogs die from it
should we take law degrees to cover ourselves- well thats a waste of time if you are a mature student as the legal profession will not accept graduates over a certain age and so a full qualification cannot be obtained- you would think these bodies would be at the fore front of discrimination but that is not the case.
